About Calibre Productions
Calibre Productions Ltd was formed in 1999 by Ed and Lynn O'Driscoll. Subsequently it has built an excellent reputation with theatre professionals and theatre-goers alike for its superb quality of production and absolute audience satisfaction. With an ever-watchful eye for detail, this exciting and vibrant company produces and promotes events that are guaranteed to captivate and delight. These include its highly acclaimed A Night at the Opera, which since 2004 has teamed up some of Britain’s finest singers from the Royal Opera House, English National Opera and Welsh Opera with hugely popular sopranos such as Denise Leigh and Jane Gilchrist (winners of Operatunity), Joanna Appleby (Amici Forever ) and The Opera Babes.
More recently, Calibre’s musical theatre extravaganza Masters of the Musical completed several national tours and celebrated its 10th anniversary with a very special tribute to the legendary creators of Broadway’s and the West End’s greatest shows. Following the great success of Dad’s Army: the Lost Episodes, the company launched national tours of 'Allo 'Allo (August 2008), Porridge (August 2009) and Dad’s Army Marches On (Spring 2010), and is looking forward to launching a national tour in Autumn 2010 of House of Ghosts - a brand new Inspector Morse mystery written especially for the stage.
