In the Autumn of 2009 Calibre Productions launched on a No 1 UK tour a real 'coup de theatre' - the first ever professional stage adaptation of the BBC's hit comedy Porridge. Penned by the original writers Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais - the same fabulous team who brought Auf Widersehen Pet to our screens - this hilarious new play received rave reviews and featured all your favourite Porridge characters. There were laughs-a-plenty as Fletch, played by Shaun Williamson (EastEnders and Extras), Godber and the other inmates of Slade Prison took on the system under the nose of the ever suspicious Mr Mackay in a sure-fire comic treat for the entire family.
